Some frenzied football fans at the University of Central Florida have discovered they can make the upper deck of the new Bright House Networks Stadium bounce by jumping up and down at once. School officials say the stadium is structurally safe. University officials say the motion of the upper deck caught them off guard when they spotted it in September, but visual and electronic monitoring since the first game has revealed no damage.

EARLIER: The lack of public water fountains at the University of Central Florida's new football stadium in Orlando and fans' struggle to find sufficient bottled drinking water for sale during last week's game drew the ire of many of the 45,000 who attended. The University of Central Florida's debut game in its new on-campus stadium is officially a sellout. The remaining tickets for the game against the University of Texas at Bright House Networks Stadium, left over from a student ticket lottery, were sold this morning. More than 45,000 fans are expected to attend the first on-campus football game since the program started in 1979. The university played all of its home games at the Florida Citrus Bowl before the $54 million stadium was completed this season. (Orlando Sentinel)
