From The Biloxi Sun-Herald: In August 2005, the storm surge from Hurricane Katrina overtook the Long Beach campus of the University of Southern Mississippi, leaving its oldest buildings washed out and hollow. Today, five building projects, totaling more than $24 million, are under way, and university officials expect work will be finished by the end of the year.
