Recovery district reacts after weekend shooting incident

An exchange of gunfire outside the stadium where Cohen and Rabouin high schools played their homecoming football game over the weekend has elicited a vow from New Orleans school officials to step up security at sporting events -- and possibly even to hold games without spectators if necessary. Recovery School District Superintendent Paul Vallas says the district will add security surrounding stadiums at future games -- particularly in parking lots -- and even bar spectators from some sporting events if it's deemed necessary. No one was injured as a result of the gunfire Saturday. Police arrested three Recovery School District students in connection with the incident.
