Officials of Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas, have vowed to rebuild after a fire this week substantially damaged its Gothic-style Main Building, which serves as its administrative offices and its signature on the city’s skyline. Officials say arson investigators are looking into the fire; the university had received a bomb threat the day before the fire. The blaze has raised questions about the future of the university, which has been losing enrollment for nine years and has an endowment of only $27 million.
