$4 million will help Durham County (N.C.) district buy future school sites

County commissioners approve expenditure

Durham County, N.C., commissioners are providing nearly $4 million to the school district this spring to help it secure land for future schools. As schools grow crowded and development continues in the southern and eastern parts of the county, the time to buy land is now, officials say.
