Two Burleson (Texas) High School seniors have filed a federal lawsuit to overturn a school district policy that has prohibited them from carrying Confederate battle flag purses to school. Aubrie Michelle McAllum and Ashley Paige Thomas contend that Burleson school district officials are denying them the freedom to express their heritage. They want the court to declare the school district's ban an unconstitutional interpretation of the school dress code.
