Protesters want to end cuts in Detroit schools

Group calls for removal of district's emergency financial manager

From The Detroit News: Fighting what they call an attack on public education in Detroit and across Michigan, protesters demanded an end to proposed cuts in funding and school closures. Organized by the group By Any Means Necessary, about 70 demonstrators met on the Wayne State University campus and called for the removal of Robert Bobb as emergency financial manager of Detroit Public Schools.
