Proposal would overhaul content of curriculum from preschool to 12th grade

Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter has announced what he called the "most revolutionary shift in education policy" in years — a massive revamping of course content from preschool through 12th grade. The governor laid out his "overarching educational vision" in a State of the State speech. He says that Colorado should align its high school graduation requirements with entry to college. The new policy will spell out what kids should learn instead of just the courses they must take
