Elementary expansion planned in Volusia County, Fla.

District decides to add grades to elementary instead of building a middle school

From The Daytona Beach News-Journal: The Volusia County (Fla.) School Board is moving ahead with a plan to add three grades to Holly Hill Elementary School and make it the district's only K-8 campus. The district had intended to build a replacement for Holly Hill Middle School, but after experiencing declining enrollment, the district decided instead on a $14.6 million plan to add grades to the elementary school. The architect is BRPH Architects Engineers.
