Madison (Ohio) district seeks $40 million bond issue

Voters will decide on proposal in November
June 28, 2009

From The Mansfield News Journal: The Madison (Ohio) district will ask voters in November to approve a $40 million bond issue that would help pay for a new K-8 building. The district plans to build a 291,000-square-foot K-8 building at a cost of $60 million. The difference would be paid by Ohio Schools Facilities Commission. In opting to go with a K-8 building only, the board rejected two more expensive options put forward by the state which would have seen a significant high school renovation and a new district auditorium.
