Organ at Illinois high school is worth more than $1 million

Officials at La Salle-Peru Township High surprised by value of 1929 instrument

From The LaSalle News-Tribune: Officials at La Salle-Peru Township High School in La Salle, Ill., have discovered that an unused pipe organ in a school auditorium is valued at more than $1 million. After a storm caused water damage last year to the instrument, an organ curator determined that the 1929 pipe organ was custom built by Aeolian Co.
