Power outage at Illinois school sends overheated children to the hospital

A dozen students are treated after St. Charles elementary school loses air conditioning.

A dozen children in St. Charles, Ill. were taken to a hospital Thursday for heat-related symptoms after a power outage knocked out the air conditioning at Richmond Elementary School. Nine girls and three boys, ranged in age from 9 to 12 years old, were treated for headaches, nausea, dizziness, cramps and feeling overheated.
