Study identifies cost savings in Clark County (Nev.) district

Consultant says district could save $162 million over 5 years

From The Las Vegas Sun: A study says that theClark County (Nev.)School District could save $162 million over five years through cost-cutting. The efficiency study looked at ways the nation’s fifth-largest school district could streamline operations and teaching. The hope is that by carrying out cost-saving measures, the district could devote more resources to the classroom. The study was privately funded by the UCLA Dream Foundation and conducted by Gibson Consulting Group of Austin, Texas.
