University of Texas hires planner for 345-acre tract
The University of Texas has selected a New York City firm to come up with a development plan for a 345-acre tract in West Austin. The university's contract with Cooper, Robertson & Partners calls for the firm to create two conceptual master plans, hold public workshops and analyze the real estate market. The regents want two plans to allow for alternative uses of the land, which is known as the Brackenridge tract. University officials say they have no preconceived notion of what precisely should be done with the property.
