A $38.5 million bond for the Iron County (Utah) School District has passed by a large margin. The money will provide for additions to space and upgrades to the infrastructure of Cedar High and East Elementary schools, and will allow for a renovation at Parowan High School, including upgrading the infrastructure to make it compliant with the fire code and Americans With Disabilities Act. The bonds to build a new elementary school will not be issued until needed, depending on student-population growth.
