$19.5 million request would cover its share of construction costs
Nov. 19, 2007

The Deming (N.M.) district is seeking voter approval in January of a $19.5 million bond proposal. The funds will help the district pay for a new high school. The state of New Mexico lists Deming High as first on its list of schools to be replaced or renovated. The estimated cost of replacing the high school is about $78 million; if voters approve the $19.5 million request on Jan. 29, the state will cover the rest of the cost.
