Northeast district bond election (San Antonio)

$693 million proposal

The Northeast Independent School District in San Antonio has placed a $498 million proposal on the ballot. It would provide about $250 million for additions and facility equity, including installation of air conditioning in all gymnasiums, and replacing 96 portable classrooms with permanent facilities. Another $157 million would be earmarked for construction of four elementary schools and acquisition of future school sites. The district's technology program would receive $52 million in bond funds for new and upgraded equipment.
