Menifee (Calif.) bonds would help pay for 3 new schools

Voters in the Menifee Union (Calif.) School District will be asked Feb. 5 to vote on a $31.46 million school bond measure that would help pay for two new elementary schools and a new middle school. The proposal needs a 55 percent majority for approval. The bonds would provide about half of what is needed to build the schools; the rest is expected to come from the state. The additional facilities would help the district switch from a year-round calendar to a more traditional schedule.
