University plans 60,000-square-foot business school facility in Spartanburg, S.C. University of South Carolina Upstate facility is estimated to cost more than $30 million

The University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg is planning to build a business school facility with an estimated cost exceeding $30 million. Construction of the George Dean Johnson Jr. College of Business and Economics, a three-story, 60,000-square-foot facility, will be completed in December 2009, in time for the beginning of the spring semester in January 2010. The architects are David M. Schwarz/Architectural Services and McMillan Smith & Partners; Clerestory Projects Group will be the construction manager.
