Judge in Missouri rejects challenge to state's allocation of charter school funding

Kansas City district had objected to how funds are disbursed to charters

From The Kansas City Star: A judge in Missouri has rejected a Kansas City School District legal challenge to the way the state allocates money to charter and district schools. Basically, the district objected to the state siphoning money from Kansas City schools to help fund charter schools. District schools receive local tax dollars, but charter schools do not. To help compensate for that difference, the state has taken steps to shift millions of dollars to charter schools in the form of per-pupil payments.
