An $8.5 million performing arts center to be built atBeaufort (S.C.) High School should open by the end of next year, officials say. The 650-seat, 24,000-square-foot structure would replace the existing 300-seat performing arts center, which school officials say is not adequate to meet the district's needs. The existing building will be kept and used as a lecture hall. The architect is Usry Wolfe Peterson Doyle. To read The Beaufort Gazette article, click here.
