Computer system will help Ohio State University match roommates

System will try to place students with compatible roommates
Aug. 16, 2010

From The Columbus Dispatch: Next year, Ohio State University will begin using a new tool to match up roommates in student housing on the Columbus campus. A computerized tool will gauge students' compatibility based on neatness, sleeping habits and other essential traits. The change is part of a trend in which universities are taking advantage of new technologies, including social-networking tools, to make roommates of students who are similar enough to get along but different enough to learn from each other.
