Joplin board enacts rule that all employees must make sure their tattoos are covered up during school hours
Under a policy that takes effect next month, employees of theJoplin (Mo.) School District must make sure tattoos are covered during school hours. That means everyone, from teachers and secretaries to bus drivers, custodians and administrators. The existing Joplin policy says teachers should “minimize” the visibility of tattoos. But nobody really knew what that meant, administrators say To make things clear, board members agreed to have the new policy say all employees must “eliminate” the visibility of tattoos.
