$100 million program to study dropout problem

AT&T to look for ways to keep students from leaving high school

AT&T officials plan to spend $100 million on a four-year effort to study ways to stem high school dropouts, while offering grants to schools and non-profits across the nation. The initiative will include a job shadowing program involving 400,000 AT&T employee hours. The aim is to have 100,000 students across the country see what skills are needed to succeed.
