Ohio district scraps bond plans

Madison board pulls $77 million proposal from August ballot

With economic conditions worsening, the Madison (Ohio) School Board has voted 3-0 to withdraw a $77 million bond issue from the Aug. 5 ballot. The funds would have paid for a centralized campus. The state would have paid 60 percent of the costs of the proposal.
