More spending cuts in Kansas City (Mo.) district

Officials say $37 million will be cut, but district won’t have to close more schools

From The Kansas City Star: A year after budget cuts shook the community with school closings and teacher layoffs, the Kansas City (Mo.) School District is cutting again. The district is working toward trimming $37 million after cutting more than $50 million a year ago.
This time, though, the district expects to make the cuts without any more school closings or teacher layoffs,
