New Yale University facility gets highest LEED rating

Kroon Hall, home of the School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, receives platinum rating

News release: Kroon Hall, the new home of the School of Forestry & Environmental Studies at Yale University in New Haven, Conn., has been awarded LEED Platinum certification. The building was designed to use 81 percent less water and 58 percent less energy than a comparable building, and to generate 25 percent of its electricity on site from renewable sources. The designers are Hopkins Architects and Planners, Centerbrook Architects and Atelier Ten Environmental Designers.
