Aug. 24, 2012

From The Los Angeles Daily News: Styrofoam food trays will be banned at all Los Angeles Unified School District campuses. The school district joins many municipalities across California that have banned polystyrene food containers in government buildings. District Supt. John Deasy announced the ban at Thomas Starr King Middle School, where students and parents have been urging the district to phase out containers made of polystyrene, which is hard to recycle and takes hundreds of years to decompose.
