Bond proposal defeated in Gering, Neb.

Money would have paid for new elementary building and freshman academy.

A $14.8 million bond proposal for the Gering (Neb.) School District has gone down to defeat. The funds would have enabled the district to build a new Lincoln Elementary for $6.1 million, upgrade shop, science and locker room areas at Gering High School for $2.7 million, and build a $4.8 million freshman academy.
