Nebraska district voters defeat bond request

Money would have enabled Madison County district to build an elementary school.

Voters in Madison County, Neb., have rejected a bond proposal for a new elementary school. The proposal would have enabled the Madison County School District to issue up to $6.97 million in bonds in order to build and equip the school.
