Charter application denied in Reynolds (Ore.) district

Board may decide to begin its own charter school
Oct. 9, 2009

From The Portland Oregonian: The Reynolds (Ore.) School Board has denied an application for the Corbett Charter Academy, a grade 6-12 school. Members felt it would compete with course offerings at the high school and represented a budget risk. The board also has been evaluating the possibility of developing its own charter school or magnet school program that would target at-risk students.
