Oklahoma City superintendent offended by talk of city takeover

City Council members have discussed taking control of the school district

From The Daily Oklahoman: Oklahoma City (Okla.) School District officials have responded with outrage to a discussion city council members had about taking over the school district as a possible solution to lagging student achievement. Superintendent Karl Springer called the discussion and attitudes "disrespectful" of the school district and the eight elected officials who govern it.
