Report cites evidence of $143,000 in suspicious payments

From WFAA-TV: An audit has uncovered evidence that at least two after-school tutoring programs may have defrauded the Dallas school district. The firm of Weaver and Tidwell found in the audit that two tutoring programs--Cool Kids Learn, Inc. and Next Level Education Programs—allegedly submitted 1,245 fraudulent claims and defrauded district taxpayers of more than $143,000. District officials say they now believe that as many as six firms could be guilty of similar over-billing or fraudulent billings.
