Colleges hope new recreation center facilities attract students

Ohio Wesleyan and Denison universities are upgrading facilities

From The Columbus Dispatch: Officials at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio hope the new $10 million Meek Aquatics and Recreation Center will attract students to the liberal-arts school. Another central Ohio college has similar aspirations. Denison University in Granville is in the midst of a $38.5 million renovation and expansion of its recreation center. More than 80 colleges nationwide are building, expanding or renovating one or more recreational-sports facilities, according to the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association.
