Parents complained that service had been eliminated

From The Raleigh News & Observer: Wake County (N.C.) school board members have reversed course and have voted to restore funding for transportation of students involved in after-school activities. The board acted after many parents complained loudly that the after-school activity buses had been eliminated. The buses provide rides to students who stay after class for sports, tutoring, extracurricular activities and other purposes. District officials say it will cost $185,000 to pay drivers more to operate the after-school routes.
