From The Boston Business Journal: Boston Renaissance Charter Public School has broken ground on a $40 million school building in the city’s Hyde Park neighborhood. Renaissance is restoring a former 70,200-square-foot mill building and a 21,400-square-foot warehouse building. When complete, the project will include 97,000 square feet of educational, assembly and administrative space in the two existing buildings. The mill building will house most of the classrooms, and the warehouse building will house the gymnasium, cafeteria, music classrooms and library. An addition will connect the two buildings and include administrative space and additional classrooms. The new school will also feature 3.5 acres of outdoor play facilities, recess areas and a state-of-the-art multimedia center. The architect is HMFH Architects.
