Funding woes may shutter after-school programs in New York

Some 207 after-school programs in New York State are about to run out of government support and will have to drastically reduce operations or close unless $30 million can be raised before September. In New York City, 118 after-school programs, serving almost 20,000 children, are facing the financial crunch
