New high school ready to open in Johns Creek, Ga.

About 1,100 students will attend Fulton County district facility

From The Alpharetta News Review: Next month, about 1,100 students will walk through the doors of the newly constructed Johns Creek High School in Johns Creek, Ga. After a couple years of construction, the 321,000 square-foot building will swing open its doors for students, faculty and the community. The school has 96 classrooms and labs, a dozen science labs, seven career technology labs, a fine arts computer lab, a photography darkroom and an outdoor patio. There will be 505 ninth-graders, 370 sophomores, 170 juniors and 70 seniors enrolled in the 2009-2010 school year. The Fulton County school board gave students the choice to attend the new school or remain at their current school.
