Committee urges record bond proposal for Texas district

$807 million plan would address five years of facility needs in Cypress-Fairbanks district.

A Cypress-Fairbanks (Texas) school bond study committee has recommended that the district pursue an $807.1 million bond proposal. That would be the fast-growing district's largest bond issue ever. The money would pay for new schools and buses, upgraded technology and renovation on existing facilities. It would enable the district, which now has about 92,000 students, to reach a capacity of 115,000 in five years.
