Campus includes a new $41.5 million facility

From The Dallas Morning News: A new era has begun at the University of North Texas at Dallas. The school officially has become an independent institution – the city's only publicly supported university. For more than 10 years, the Dallas location has been an extension of the university's flagship campus in Denton. Now, UNT-Dallas has a new $41.5 million, 102,000-square-foot building that houses classrooms, faculty offices, a library and a cafeteria. Its sustainable-design elements include wall and ceiling panels made of recycled wood; flooring hat contains recycled glass; a green roof; solar panels; and a rainwater-collection system.
