Four Connecticut universities in line for building funds

Connecticut State University System expected to get $95 million for facility improvements

Funding for $95 million in capital improvements for theConnecticut State University System is expected to gain approval next month from the State Bond Commission. The CSUS 2020 capital improvement program will include new buildings and renovations and code improvements at existing buildings on all four campuses in the state university system. The first phase includes $34 million for a new classroom office building at Central Connecticut State University and $12 million for the design of a new fine arts instructional center at Eastern Connecticut State University. It also includes $20.4 million for a new academic building and parking center at Southern Connecticut State University and $80.4 million for a fine arts instructional center at Western Connecticut State University.
