From The Grand Rapids Press: Voters in the West Ottawa (Mich.) school district have rejected a $25.9 million bond issue that would have paid for a new high school performing arts center, new athletic fields and technology improvements. The big ticket item was a proposed $12.5 million performing arts center at West Ottawa High School. It was the second time in 10 years voters had turned down a proposal for such a facility.
