Cuts needed after voters rejected request for tax increase
From The Indianapolis Star: Two elementary schools would close and nearly $6 million would be cut from the Franklin Township (Ind.) district's budget under a plan outlined by the superintendent this week. The cutbacks were proposed after voters overwhelmingly rejected a tax increase Nov. 3 that would have bolstered school funding.
