From The New York Times: At Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., the eight-year-old tradition of having cheerleaders hold religious-themed banners on the field during football games ended last month after a parent expressed concern that it could prompt a First Amendment lawsuit. Now, a month later, there are more biblical verses than ever at football games, displayed not by cheerleaders but by fans sitting in the stands.
