2 California colleges focus on student housing

Sacramento State and William Jessup universities hope campus living opportunities will remake their images

From The Sacramento Bee: Sacramento State University is a public school serving 29,000 students; William Jessup University in Rocklin, Calif., is a private school of just a few hundred. But both schools are on a mission to remake their images. And at both colleges, getting more students to live on campus is central to the transformation.

EARLIER....From The Sacramento Bee: William Jessup University is Rocklin, Calif., is opening a five-story apartment complex that college officials say will double its student housing capacity. The 1,420-square-foot, eight-person suites have apartment amenities that include kitchens, wireless internet, television, a two-story parking garage, laundry facilities and a courtyard for gatherings.
