Schools, business community agree to help city shrink budget deficit
From The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl has shelved a proposal that would have imposed a tuition tax on college students. The mayor says that he was able to forgo the tax plan after pledges of help from universities, tax-exempt organizations and the corporate community.
