From The New York Times: Some of New York City’s most competitive high schools have begun to lighten the workload imposed on students. A significant percentage of parents see demanding homework loads as essential to making their children competitive. But for the first time in recent memory, many are expressing concerns about the detrimental effects of asking too much of students, many of whom lack sleep and joy.
