From The Brazoria County Facts: Voters in the Brazosport (Texas) district have rejected a $166 million bond proposal that would have provided funds to replace three schools, add classrooms and gyms and build a districtwide natatorium, among other improvements.

Earlier: The Brazosport (Texas) school district is asking voters on Nov. 3 to approve a $166 million bond proposal to pay for two new school buildings, major renovations to many campuses and deferred maintenance projects. The bonds would pay for construction of new buildings to house A.P. Beutel Elementary and T.W. Ogg Elementary; an auditorium and fine arts wing at Brazoswood High School; new gymnasiums at six elementary schools and Lanier Middle School; and a new district natatorium.
