Pacheco (Calif.) district bonds would upgrade aging buildings

$11 million proposal is on November ballot

The Pacheco Union School District in Anderson, Calif., has placed an $11 million school bond proposal on the Nov. 4 ballot. The district's two elementary schools--Prairie and Pacheco--are aging and need upgrades. Projects that could be funded by the bond include replacing portables with permanent classes, modernizing technology, constructing a new library and computer lab, improving energy efficiency in schools, and making health and safety improvements.
