House fire kills 3 students from University of Wisconsin-Stout

Blaze occurs in home three blocks from campus

A house fire in Menomonie, Wis., has killed three University of Wisconsin-Stout students and left the campus in a state of shock. The fire occurred in a two-story house about three blocks from campus. The victims were Scott A. Hams, 23; Amanda Jean Rief, 20; and April C. Englund, 21. Hams and Rief were staying overnight at the residence of Englund. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
